3. Standard Test Conditions

   3.1 Cell should be tested within two weeks after receipt of the goods.

   3.2 Unless otherwise specified, all tests stated in this Product Specification are conducted at temperature 25±5℃ and humidity 65%±20% RH.

5. Safety Test

All below tests are carried out on the equipments with forced ventilation and explosion-proof device. Before test, all cells are be charged in accordance with the Quick Charge Method, and stored for 24h.

A cell to be heated in a gravity convection or circulating air oven with an initial temperature of 25±5.The temperature of the oven is to be raised at a rate of 5℃±2 per minute to a temperature of 130℃±2 and remain for 10 minutes.

A cell is to be force-discharged at a constant circuit with 1Cn for 90 minutes.

Short-circuit Test

A cell shall be left at an ambient temperature of 25℃±5.Each test sample cell, in turn, is to be short-circuited by connecting the positive and negative terminals of the cell with a circuit load having a maximum resistance load of 0.1ohm. The cell is to discharge  last 4 hours, or until it has reached a completely discharged state of less than 0.1volts and the cell temperature has returned to be 10 less than peak temperature.

Mechanical Abuse

Impact Test

A test sample cell is to be placed on a flat surface. A 15.8mm diameter bar is to be placed across the center of the sample. A 9.1kg weight is to be dropped from a height of 610mm onto the sample. The distortion is allowed.

Crush Test

A cell is to be crushed with its longitudinal axis parallel to the flat surfaces of the crushing apparatus. The crushing is to be continued until a pressure reading of 17.2Mpa is  reached on the hydraulic ram, applied force of 13KN and maintains 1min.

6. Environment Characteristic

All cells are be charged in accordance with the Quick Charge Method, and stored for 24h before being tested.

Vibration Test

A charged cell is to be subjected to harmonic motion with an amplitude of 0.4mm. The frequency shall be increased at a rate of 1Hz/min from 10Hz and reduced at a rate of 1 Hz/min after it reaches 55Hz, and then it shall be ensured that the frequency has reached 10Hz.The entire range of frequency (10Hz~55Hz) shall be tested for 30 minutes in each of the three mutually perpendicular directions of vibration(X, Y, and Z axes).

2.The voltage is no less than 3.6V

Free Fall

A charged cell is dropped from a height of 1m to a wooden board (18-20mm thick) which is placed on the concrete ground. Cells shall be dropped in each of three mutually perpendicular directions(X, Y, and   Z axes). Total drop times are 6.After that, the cell is discharged to cut-off voltage at CC of 1Cn.then repeat charge & discharge at a current of 1Cn until the discharge time is not less than 51min, the cycle times should be not more than 3.

Constant Temperature and Humidity

A charged cell is stored in an ambient temperature of 40±2℃(90%~95%RH) for 48h,then placed in room temperature for 2h.After that, check its appearance prior to being discharged to cut-0ff voltage at a constant current of 1 Cn

7. Warranty

Warranty period of 12 months after shipment. However, even though the problem occurs within this period, SW won’t replace a new cell for free as long as the problem is not due to the failure of SW manufacturing process or is due to customer’s abuse or misuse.

SW will not be responsible for trouble occurred by handing outside of the precautions in instructions.

SW will not be responsible for trouble occurred by matching electric circuit, cell pack and charger.

SW will be exempt for warrantee any defect cells during assembling after acceptance.

 

8. Safety Instructions

Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries subject to abusive conditions can cause damage to the cell and/or personal injury. Please read and observe the standard cell precautions below before using utilization.

Note 1. The customer is required to contact SW in advance, if and when the customer needs other applications or operating conditions than those described in this document.

Note 2. SW will take no responsibility for any accident when the cell is used under other conditions than those described in this Document.

9. Precautions

9.1 Do not over-charge the cell more than 4.25V, and the charge / discharge current does not exceed the current of 1Cn;

9.2 Do not over-discharge or short circuit the cell;

9.3 Do not subject the cell to strong mechanical shocks;

9.4 Do not immerse the cell in water or in fire and do not expose the cell to extreme heat or flame

9.5 Do not reverse the polarity of the cell for any reason;

9.6 Do not impact, strike, tread, fling the cell or drive a nail into the cell;

9.7 Do not touch a leaked cell directly;

9.8 Do not make the soldering onto a cell directly;

9.9 Do not use Lithium-ion cell in mixture and do not use or leave the cell under the blazing sun (or in heated car by sunshine);

9.10 Do not disassemble, modify the cell and do not handle or store with metallic like necklaces, coins or hairpins, etc;

9.11 Do not use the cell with conspicuous damage or deformation;

9.12 Keep cell away from children;

9.13 For long period storage, the cell had better be in half-power state.
